Viva focuses on increasing the participation of women in the workforce providing meaningful career opportunities to women in emerging economies within Latin America.
Our social mission tackles the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG #5), which is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
Significant social disparities
There are significant social disparities such as poverty and hunger between countries with emerging economies vs. mature economies.
The root of the social disparities
We wanted to tackle multiple sustainable development goals at once, so we started to look into the root causes of the social disparities.
Unrealized female potential
We realized that women are underemployed in emerging economies - their potential was not being realized due to a lack of women’s empowerment (SDG #5).
